SIXTY: A Celebration in Sound

Benjamin was Concert Master and conducted elements of the University of Newcastle 60th Anniversary Alumni Showcase Concert, held in the Great Hall. Benjamin conducted Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto in A Major, K. 622, featuring soloist Mitchell Berick (Principal Bass Clarinet with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra). The concert showcased the talent of more than ninety music graduates in the University’s 60th year, including performances by renowned baritone Dr Christopher Allan, Marissa Saroca, Amy Vee, Poppi Kent (Chain Daisy), Andrew Chubb, Super Tonics, Bob Corbett & the Roo Grass Band, and an orchestra comprising of University of Newcastle Conservatorium Alumni.
