Lords of the Soil is an Australian historical drama short film, inspired by true events, that was filmed in the Riverina region in late 2023, written and produced by lead actor of the film, Jake Speer. The film tells the story of a young settler's developing relationship with the Indigenous family on his newly acquired land in 1866, exploring themes of grief, loss, kindness, and compassion between the two cultures. The project was a collaboration between Kensington House Entertainment and Miil Miil Productions, with support from Western Riverina Arts. Benjamin co-composed and co-produced the score with producer Adam Alexander from Bamm Bamm Wolfgang productions, and conducted the recording of the score with Sound Engineer Thomas Mitchell.
